Fill out the personalizing information card that came with your impression kit. Then ship the completed card with your pet’s imprint to our studio. Be sure to note the tracking number provided by your shipping company!

Once your imprint arrives at our studio, we'll contact you to confirm receipt, review your order details and take payment for personalizing. Your imprint will go into the queue to be personalized and when it's completed, we'll ship it back to you.

The natural clay in our kits is intended to be kiln fired and personalized. However, if you choose, you can allow the clay to air dry by removing the lid and plastic seal. Leave it in its container in a safe place. Dried clay is quite fragile so avoid handling the dried impression if possible. Personalizing is available even if your clay imprint has dried out completely.

No. Our kits are packaged so they can be purchased ahead of time. It is best to keep the container sealed until you are ready to use it. However, if a kit has been opened but is not used, replace the plastic seal and container lid. If the clay isn’t soft enough when you are ready to use it, you may soften it by referring to the “Can I make the clay softer?” question below.

Yes. Simply open the container, peel back the plastic seal and add 2 tsp (10 ml) of water onto the clay. Replace the seal and lid and leave overnight. If the clay is too soft, let it stand uncovered and test after 30 minutes.

Peartree original impressions refers to our original impression kit and premium personalizing options, including 31 standard imprint and background colors (including snow White), custom colors, pattern matches and Yin Yang color combinations. This customization makes these impressions more labor-intensive, so they cost a little more and take a little longer than Pastels by Peartree™ impressions.

Pastels by Peartree™ impressions utilize our exclusive tinted clay in six pastel colors. Once they arrive at our studio, these impressions are simply trimmed, glazed and kiln fired. These impressions receive the same care as our original impressions, however the process is simpler, which results in cost and time savings.

Take off the lid and plastic seal from your kit and place it on the floor. Position your pets foot on the clay disc then lift the opposite leg so weight is shifted to the imprint foot. Gently but firmly press down with the heel of the hand to ensure all the digits are captured. You may require the help of another person to make this easier.

Yes. We can create a Peartree referencing your ink print. Provide us with a photo of your ink print with a ruler next to it for scale. Our artists will carefully represent the size, shape and texture from your pet’s ink print. These impressions can be made and personalized with either the original Peartree or Pastel’s by Peartree ™ all-natural clay.

Yes. Peartree has a special process to make duplicate impressions. We take a mold of the original imprint then transfer it to a clay disc. This process allows us to make as many copies as you would like, while ensuring that the size, shape, and texture of the imprint are carefully replicated. These impressions can be made and personalized with either the original Peartree or Pastel’s by Peartree ™ all-natural clay.

Yes. If you are sending your impression for personalizing from the United States across the border into Canada, you may be asked to declare its value for customs purposes. Please indicate that your impression, in its original clay kit, is worth no more than $5.00 per kit returned. If you declare the impression kit at a higher value, any customs duties charged to Peartree will be added to your personalizing costs.
