This process allows us to make as many copies as you would like, while ensuring that the size, shape and texture of the imprint(s) are carefully replicated. All personalizing options are available for each impression. We indicate the original impression on the return packaging.

Yes. We can create a Peartree referencing your ink print. Send us a photo of your ink print next to a ruler for scale. Our artists will carefully represent the size, shape and texture of your pet’s print. These impressions can be made and personalized with either the original Peartree or Pastels by Peartree™ all-natural clay.

Peartree’s all-natural clay impression kits are not intended to be air-dried or oven-baked. To protect the imprint and keep the clay moist, return the plastic seal over the clay and replace the lid.

Imprints taken in the Peartree clay are meant to be kiln-fired. Our Simply Bisque Fired (SBF) process preserves the imprint as a one-of-a-kind ceramic memento with minimal processing.

However, Peartree can process an impression even if it has naturally dried out. It is fragile in this state, so be sure to protect the imprint with additional packaging before shipping.

No. Our kits are packaged so they can be purchased in advance. Keep the container sealed until you are ready to make the imprint. However, if a kit has been opened but is not used, replace the plastic seal and container lid. If the clay isn’t soft enough when you are ready to use it, you may soften it by referring to the “Can I make the clay softer?” question below.

Be sure to note the tracking number provided by your preferred courier or if using a requested return service label. Once your kit arrives at our studio, we will contact you to confirm receipt, review your order details and take payment for personalizing. Once completed, we will ship your personalized impressions back to you.

Peartree’s large 5.25” clay disc size can easily capture a large breed imprint.

Remove the lid and plastic seal from your kit and place it on the floor. Position your pet’s foot on the clay disc, then lift the opposite leg so weight is shifted to the imprint foot. Gently but firmly press down with the heel of the hand to ensure all the digits are captured. You may want to enlist help from another person to make this easier.

Yes. If you are sending your impression for personalizing from the United States across the border into Canada, you may be asked to declare its value for customs purposes. Please indicate that your impression, in its original clay kit, is worth no more than $5.00 per kit returned. If you declare the impression kit at a higher value, any customs duties charged to Peartree will be added to your personalizing costs.
